Kasey Kania (b. 1998, he/him) is a mixed-media artist living and working in Northeast Ohio. He received a BFA in Painting and a BA in Art History from Kent State University in the Spring of 2021. His work is inspired by the richness of the Ohio landscape and the flora within it. He sources his imagery from his own personal explorations into the land, constantly searching for unique angles and natural instances to be represented on paper. He seeks a deeper connectivity with the landscape through varying degrees of expressive color and abstraction. His work is about the sensation of existing in an environment and seeing it through a personal lens.
